Addis Ababa churches gather for their weekly central teaching

We continue to receive exciting news from all five home church fields.

The 3 home churches in Addis Ababa (pictured above) continue to grow. Addis Ababa is the capital of Ethiopia where Lou and Genet live. Please pray for the two couples that live near them that have checked out home church meetings, as well as many others who are investigating Christianity for the first time.

Please pray for spiritual health for the 11 home churches in Bahir Dar. Bahir Dar is the capital of the Amhara Region where Bethel Church began many years ago.

The 2 home churches in Kosober (aka Injibara) recently held a leaders training seminar that went really well.  There are around 25 people who attend these two home churches.  Most of them study at a local vocational school.  Pray for these young people that they would be ready to effectively serve the Lord when they are sent elsewhere when their two-year study term is over.

Finally, please pray for the 2 home churches in Gondar.

You can also pray for some new initiatives.

• Bethel will attempt to plant a church in Debre Marqos, a city southeast of Bahir Dar.  Temesgen, one of Bethel’s elders, will oversee efforts to plant this church and others in Gojjam region.
• Another elder, Wondim, will lead an effort to establish a student ministry starting in Bahir Dar.
• Construction is underway for a building for central teachings in Bahir Dar. Pray for funds to finish the project.
• Some leaders from Xenos will travel to Ethiopia in early April to conduct church-planting training.
